Nevada Youth License Fund

As of June 7th, 2024 the fund is OPEN – GET YOUR FREE KIDS FISHING LICENSE TODAY!

The Nevada Youth License Fund (NYLF) is a donation-driven program created to help make it easier for kids ages 12-17 to enjoy the outdoors here in Nevada by offering them a free youth combination license!

A youth combination license allows anyone ages 12-17 to legally fish in Nevada for one year from the issuance date, and in combination with a validated hunter education certificate also allows the holder to legally hunt. If you or someone you know is 12-17 years old and interested in hunting or fishing in Nevada, please let them know about this program!

“Time spent outdoors is good for both physical and mental health… We want kids spending more time outdoors, not less.”

Thanks to generous donations made by members of the public and private organizations the NYLF is used to cover the $15 cost of youth combination license to make sure that the cost of a license is not a barrier to kids in Nevada! Money donated to the fund is solely used to cover the cost of youth licenses to the extent that funds are available, and these licenses are available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cost is one of the most common barriers people face when asked what keeps them from spending more time outdoors. This program will benefit families who cite cost as a barrier to the outdoors most, but is designed to benefit all youth.
